When Oakham Ales was started in 1995, the brewing world was a very different place to how it is today! Like everyone else, they brewed pale beers with mainly British ingredients. Oakham upped their game and changed the landscape when they started introducing hops from America and the New World.
The journey from their roots in Oakham, Rutland to the current site in Peterborough has been eventful, with plenty of award winning beers being brewed along the way. The beers enjoy an almost legendary status and are extremely popular at beer festivals up and down the country.
